We are a leading advertising agency group in Malaysia, known for delivering impactful and innovative campaigns across diverse industries. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of our group.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements for multiple business units within the group.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing activities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to explain variances and financial performance.
- Billing & Revenue Recognition
- Oversee client billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in line with contractual agreements.
- Coordinate with client service teams to manage job costing and project revenue tracking.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Management Accounting
- Provide detailed financial insights and management reports to support business decision-making.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Track and report on KPIs and other financial metrics.
- Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure adherence to local financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting efficiency.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the advertising, media, or creative industry.
- Strong knowledge of management accounting, P&L creation, and client billing processes.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Xero, QuickBooks, or equivalent).
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
